Lysistrata is a unique project for Pafos2017, he presents 16 shocking performers from four different countries and three different continents. The interpretive group, consisting solely of women, redefines the concept and the form of the Ancient Greek comedy. The text itself discovers the relativity of the day, through the female perspective. But not a feminist manifesto, but a joyful celebration of diversity, guided by music, dance and speech. Our common language is English, but in fact it is the vitality and sightliness performers who are the real language of communication. Sao Paulo (Brazil), Lagos (Nigeria), Cyprus (north and south), Essen (Germany): these are the places of origin of the performers and their cultural background are the colors that make up our world. Aristophanes had as a driver the need to save the world, which was under threat. This need is alive today, and perhaps in the therapeutic feminine energy is the key.
