1. ANANAs 8Bit Coffee
Much, much more than a simple run-of-the-mill bar cum coffee shop, Ananas 8Bit Coffee is a hive of alternative events, live music gigs, and art house movie screenings.
Serving up some of the best freshly roasted artisan coffee this side of the island along with a delicious selection of homemade snacks, the quirky little space also shows modern and contemporary art on its projector screen wall. Open from 9:30 in the morning until around 10:30 at night, ANANAs 8Bit Coffee is a great option for a cosy afternoon tea, or an early evening drink.

2. Cake Fairy
Turning cake making into a true art, Ania, aka the creative mind behind Cake Fairy bakery and cake shop, sculpts the most scrumptious desserts, cakes and cupcakes at her tiny little shop on the coastal road near Kato Paphos.
She can make cakes to order based on the theme of your choice, and has even been known to create gluten free options for the more health conscious among us! Not one to substitute artistic genius for taste, Ania’s cakes are as delicious as they are beautiful – the only problem is, you won’t want to cut into it and ruin the design!

3. Technopolis 20
Housed in a gorgeous old traditional yellow stone house, Technopolis20 is a cultural centre with a big vision. The charming space puts on a host of cultural events, from music recitals and open literary discussions, to theatrical performances and modern art debates, all in a bid to promote and raise awareness of the local cultural scene.
The events are curated to satiate the tastes of a wide range of audiences so check on line and you are bound to find something of interest.

4. Deloubak Espresso Cuisine Co.
Nothing short of a coffee lover’s paradise, Deloubak Espresso Cuisine Co. is a great venue in the hub of old town Paphos where you can switch off from the buzz and stress of daily life as the uplifting aroma of freshly ground coffee tantalises your senses. With comfy mismatched chairs scattered around the cosy venue, the exposed brick walls and old fashioned bric-a-brac give it a real alternative edge.

5. Oniro by the Sea
The ultimate place to watch the sun set over the sea in Paphos, Oniro by the Sea is a chill out lounge bar and restaurant with a twist. The twist is the view. On one side, the bar’s garden and terrace offer spectacular views of the Paphos sea caves, and on the other side, the atmospheric vista of a partially submerged shipwreck.
But great views aside, Oniro by the Sea also serves up an impressive range of mouth-watering sea food snacks such as tiger prawns, smoked trout and salmon teriyaki and an impressive cocktail menu to wash it all down with. Open from 12:00 till 23:30 the space is closed on Mondays.

6. 7 St. Georges Tavern
A family run business through and through, 7 St. Georges Tavern really is one of the island’s best traditional restaurants in more ways than one. Located in a rural style traditional old wood and stone house, the restaurant exudes a cosy, friendly and authentic atmosphere from the moment you step through the doors.
The fantastic traditional local meze is made using only products grown locally in Cyprus. And although the basis of the meze menu is traditionally Cypriot, the family behind St. Georges Tavern have infused some of the dishes with their own personal contemporary take.

If you can find it, hidden away down a narrow alley way in a crumbling old traditional house, Timothy’s Bar is one of Paphos’ best kept secrets and well worth looking for! The bohemian little space is all about the warm, cosy and unpretentious atmosphere, so leave your airs and graces at home and come ready for a spontaneous night of relaxed and carefree fun.
The space hosts live music nights and serves drinkers light Spanish inspired snacks to soak up all the beer. This artistic little den of inequity is as underground and alternative as it gets in Paphos and the bar’s loyal regulars want to keep it that way.

The Vintage Espresso Bar is a retro-style vintage art house café, located in a beautifully renovated traditional house from the 50’s, and exudes a cosy antique, avant-garde atmosphere and a quirky personality.
The bar serves some pretty interesting drinks and cocktails like the chilli and lime gin and tonic, and as the name suggests, art of all genres is embraced with collectable and recycled art on sale and movie screening nights, art exhibitions, handcraft fairs and live music events hosted regularly.

When it’s a glass of really good wine you want, Labyrinthos Wine Bar & Gallery is one of the best places for the job. The small, but well-presented little space prides itself on being a labyrinth of a different kind, where the only thing you’ll get lost in, is the impressive wine list!

Those who appreciate a really good cup of home roasted coffee will find themselves in caffeinated heaven atBeanhaus. On a passionate quest to discover the perfect cup of coffee, the small artisan micro coffee roaster imports, roasts, packs and sells the finest beans from Arabica green coffee from Panama and Indonesia Kalossi.
Coffee enthusiasts can either pop in for a delicious brew and a cake in house, or stop by to purchase the ready packed beans, homemade coffee liqueur and other coffee related accessories to take home with them and enjoy every day.

11. Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών Πάφου – The House of Arts and Literature
Another centre of arts and culture in Paphos, the House of Arts and Literature works with various associations and ministries to raise awareness of the diversity and wealth of the art scene in the region and in Cyprus in general.
Currently, the Cyprus Photographic Association is using the space to organise a three month series of activities and events, but throughout the year, regular lectures, readings, screenings, concerts and workshops are also organised for interested parties to enjoy a cultural evening.

12. Muse Cafe Kitchen Bar
Boasting the most spectacular panoramic views across Paphos town, Muse Kitchen Bar has fast become a local favourite thanks to its excellent food, innovative signature cocktails and hip yet friendly atmosphere.
Located in a huge renovated house on a cliff top above Pano Paphos, Muse has a cool covered garden terrace where you can watch the sun set with a sun downer, but if you want to stay on for dinner, be warned that Muse can get very busy so book a table in advance.
