Cycling Cyprus – Love Cyprus Cycling Route 3, Troodos to Paphos

Cycling 3_imageOur third Cycle route is the ‘Troodos to Paphos’ visitcyprus route which is a total distance of around 65km.

Route: Troodos Square 1730m, Psilo Dendro 1185m (7.2km), Pano Platres 1150m (7.7km), Mandria 845m (13km), Ayios Nikolaos 740m (22km), Praitori 675m (24km), Kedares 540m (26km), Kidasi 280m (31.5km), Agios Georgios 185m (39km), Mamonia 165m (41km), Fasoula 130m (42.5km), Nikokleia 85m (49km), Mandria 40m (53.7km), Timi 50m (56.7km), Acheleia 55m (60km), Geroskipou 75m (63.5km), Paphos 75m (65km).

 

An easy route which is mostly downhill, on paved roads, this cycle will take you through some beautiful villages along the Diarizos river.

From Troodos Square the route heads south along the main Lemesos-Troodos road.  At Psilo Dendro it turns right for Pano Platres and then goes on to Kato Platres.  Just outside the village it turns right for Mandria and Paphos.

Heading southwest the route goes through Mandria and enters Diarizos Valley, going through the villages of Agios Nikolaos, Praitori, Kedares, Kidasi, Agios Georgios, Mamonia, Fasoula, and Nikokleia and finally joins the old Lemesos-Paphos road.  From there it turns west to Paphos via the villages of Mandria, Timi, Acheleia and Geroskipou.
