There’s plenty for families to do in the surrounding region if you fancy a change of scenery from Aphrodite Hills Resort.
First up is Paphos Zoo. We’re sure the kids will have a wonderful day out watching the wildlife that live at the local zoo which is just a 45 minute drive from the Resort. Take a peek at the parrot show, feed the giraffes, handle the snakes & wonder around the park – there’s lots of family fun to be had!
Paphos Zoo hosts an array of mammals, reptiles and birds including white lions, monkeys, penguins, giraffes, tortoises, kangaroos & snakes. Famous for it’s charming parrot show, we would recommend that you time your arrival at the park so that you don’t miss the amphitheatre show of basket-ball playing birds who double up as stunt experts on skateboards! Another highlight is feeding the tall, animated giraffes some local ‘carob’ plants, which will definitely have the kids smiling!

The Zoo also has a couple of eateries, a play park, natural history museum, souvenir shop, traditional house, nursery, art gallery and a lovely little ‘children’s farm’, where the kiddies can get close and personal with the bunny rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks and goats, have an ice cream, have their photo taken with a parrot or snake and ride ponies.
