Cyprus Government increasing VAT rate

Cyprus Government increasing VAT rate

After a long period saying they wouldn’t do it, the Cyprus government has decided they will increase VAT from March 1st 2012. It is going up from 15% to 17%, this will obviously have an effect on your costs so you should take this into account for budgeting purposes.

We do have some jobs either in progress or awaiting your approval, it is in your best financial interest to get these going or completed as soon as possible. We can invoice early just to make sure you still pay VAT at the old rate but this must be done before 29th February. We will not chase for payment of any invoices we issue early but once the jobs are completed we will require payment.

If you need any more information, please call David Petts on +357 99 462 592 before 29th January as he will be on holiday for a month after that date.
